Why The Good Supplements exists
Search "best supplement for sleep" and the results are almost entirely written by people selling a sleep supplement. Search a specific ingredient and you'll find ten near-identical articles that all cite the same one favorable study while skipping the three that found nothing. That's the gap The Good Supplements is trying to close.
Who writes this
Guides are written and fact-checked in-house by the Good Supplements research team, working directly from primary sources: randomized controlled trials, meta-analyses, and dosing data from the same literature clinicians reference. We're not a licensed medical practice and we don't claim to be one, which is exactly why every guide points you back to your own doctor or pharmacist for anything personal to your health. See our full grading methodology.
What we do differently
We read the trials before we write the guide, not after. Every article states the evidence grade up front, names the dose that was actually tested, and lists who the research says should be cautious, not just who it says should buy. When the evidence is mixed or weak, we say that plainly instead of rounding it up to sound more useful.
What we don't do
We don't run an affiliate program tied to which supplements get a favorable grade, and we don't accept payment from supplement brands to influence a guide's content. If that changes for any part of the site in the future, it will be disclosed on the page itself, not buried in a footer.
What The Good Supplements isn't
This site is a research summary, not a clinic. Nothing here diagnoses a condition or replaces a conversation with a doctor or pharmacist, particularly if you're pregnant, managing a chronic illness, or taking prescription medication that could interact with a supplement.
